Congregate/Independent Living

Congregate Living, or Independent Living as it is sometimes called, is essentially housing for seniors that allows them to live independently in their own suite with a variety of services and amenities included in the rent.

These convenient services include nutritious meals prepared by a professional chef and served by friendly staff in a bright and open dining room overlooking the courtyard gardens; weekly light housekeeping and laundering of flat linen and towels; front entry surveillance security, and for each resident, a 24 hour emergency response system monitored by professional and caring staff.

The Waterford allows all residents the time and freedom to socialize with new friends or family in warm and inviting lounges; to read a book in the library by the fireplace or just to relax; to participate in organized social activities organized by a Recreation Coordinator such as games, outings, parties, dances and social events including fitness and wellness programs. There’s even a private dining room available for those special occasions or family get togethers.

The independent residences provide an alternative to home ownership without some of the daily chores. Residences are available on a month-to-month rental basis, giving you freedom to make changes as circumstances or needs require. Should a health need arise, we have licensed care facilities to accommodate those that require additional services. We offer our independent living residents priority access to this facility.
