| What does my apartment contain? | ||
| • | Each apartment has a personalized entrance with your suite number and a lockable door. There is an external shelf to put your bags on while you unlock your door | |
| • | All apartments have a kitchen consisting of a frost free refrigerator, a 4 burner stovetop (no oven), stainless steel sink, upper and lower cabinets with easy-to-grip handles, and a microwave shelf | |
| • | Each bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower with a built-in seat and grab bar. The shower head can be adjusted up or down or be hand held. Two bedroom suites have two bathrooms, one with a tub and shower and the other with a walk-in shower. | |
| • | Bedrooms,with the exception of Mini 1 bedrooms, are designed to accommodate up to a queen size bed | |
| • | All suites have wall to wall carpet | |
| • | Each bedroom has a large closet. Some suites have additional storage closets. | |
| • | A 24-hour emergency call system is installed in several locations in each apartment for quick response to accident or injury. The alarm system is activated by pushing a wall-mounted button or by pulling a cord that reaches the floor. A pendant is available at an additional cost, for residents preferring to wear one. | |
| • | All apartments have conveniences such as lever door handles, individual heat controls, senior friendly carpeting, raised electrical outlets, telephone and cable TV outlets in the living room and all bedrooms, and visual fire alarm systems | |
| • | Ground floor suites have garden patios while the rest have outdoor balconies | |
| • | Handicap suites are available for the disabled |

| Will there be a nurse on duty? | ||
| • | As the emphasis is on independent living and being responsible for your own health and care, we do not have a nurse available in the independent living residences to assist you on a daily or ongoing basis. Other trained staff members are available on a 24-hour basis to respond to an emergency. If you live in the Licensed Care Centre however, Nurses are always on duty. | |
| • | Should you require occasional assistance
with things like bathing or medication reminders, arrangements can be made
to have assistance brought in through various local home support agencies.The
Waterford can only provide health care services to our Licensed Care Centre
residents. |

| • | The Waterford has a secure parking area for use by residents | |
| • | Parking is on a first come first serve basis | |
| • | Parking is included in monthly rent | |
| • | Guest parking is available for family and
friends on a short term basis |

| Is there a guest suite? | ||
| • | We have a furnished, comfortable guest suite for visiting family and friends at affordable rates | |
| • | This suite can sleep 2 guests and includes 2 single beds, seating area, large closet, TV and a private washroom | |
| • | The nightly rate includes underground parking | |
| • | Meal services for guests in the dining room
at reasonable rates can also be arranged |

| Do you provide furnished suites? | ||
| • | Your suite will be furnished with your own
belongings. In the Licensed Care Centre we can provide some furniture if
needed. |

| Am I able to lock my door? | ||
| • | As this is your home, you are encouraged
to lock your door when you are leaving. We will supply extra keys for family
members on request. |
